What are You Thankful For?

November 28th, 2023

Pumpkins and squash

We hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Before the Thanksgiving holiday, students in Group IV were asked to write about what they are grateful for.  Here are some excerpts from their responses:

“I am grateful for so much in this world. For one, my house. There are so many people in the world who are homeless, and I really appreciate having a roof over my head. Whenever it’s late at night, and the weather is either cold, rainy or both, I think to myself how lucky I am for shelter.”

“I am also grateful for clean food and water. So many people spend their nights hungry and thirsty, or even if they do have something to eat or drink, it might not be that healthy or clean. For this, I am so happy.”

“I am grateful for my amazing family, who cares about me and loves me, as I do them. Friends are great, but there is just something special about family that makes you feel happy and cozy, and I feel very lucky to be able to feel this sensation of warmth on a daily basis.”

“I am very grateful for my wonderful friends, who I can relate to and grow with. I get to see them almost every day at school.”

“I am grateful for my friend because she is really kind to me and she is understanding of my nonverbal learning disorder. She was one of the first people I met who was kind and caring when I moved to Sudbury. She is one of my favorite friends, and we text very often.”

“There are many things I am grateful for in life, but I can only list two.

Number one: Food and Water.  I am very grateful that I can afford to get food and buy water.
Number two: Broccoli Hall.  I am very grateful that my family can afford for me to go to Broccoli Hall, because it is a very nice community.”

“I am grateful for my job. I like how I can work from home, and I like how much I get paid on average. I work as an editor in a business and usually I edit ads, but sometimes I edit youtube, tiktok, or even twitch videos. Most of my work is very successful online.”

“I realize I should never be embarrassed of my family.  And instead I should be grateful. They are the best, they are amazing. I couldn't be any luckier THE END!   P.S. Never be embarrassed of your family because they are the greatest gift you could ever get.”
