We strongly believe that “A School’s not a Place, It’s People…” The actual building is not important. What is important is who attends, who teaches, how they interact, and the environments they create. The environments need to be welcoming, enriching, secure, warm, and fun. They also must be clearly defined with solid boundaries that provide repeated reassurance and support, as well as nurture respect and sustainability.
We take education very seriously. The fact that over 97% of our graduates attend college reflects this. We strive to make learning personal. When learning is engaging and personal, students participate and take risks. When they find learning enjoyable and memorable, they retain information. We believe a personal approach is an integral part of the learning process.
Our dedicated and creative faculty work to infuse respect and fun into the learning process. The school is alive with student-created works of art, theatrical & travel posters, a paper crane mobile, rubber ducks, and British phone box, to name but a few. Those pieces are physical reminders that this is a learning environment that supports individuality and creativity and that “fun” is an important piece of the equation. We all work together to create a learning environment that supports individuality, creativity, and fun.
